IS MY DOG TOO OLD TO BE TRAINED?
Absolutely not! No dog is too old to be trained. The best time to start training is now!
WHAT IS YOUR TRAINING METHOD?
At Gillian's K9 Academy, we address the relationship between human and canine and the dog's state of mind. When we address the relationship and state of mind, we create an open line of communication that allows us to teach your dog better choices and habits. We use obedience as a job for your dog. Work builds confidence, engagement, and focus. We use positive reinforcement as the foundation for all of our training methods.
WHICH OF YOUR SERVICES IS RIGHT FOR ME?
This varies from client to client. Please contact me to schedule a time for an evaluation where we can pick the package or service that is best suited to your training goals.
WHY DO YOU USE PRONGS?
Dogs primarily communicate with each other through touch and various forms of pressure. They often correct each other physically. Prong collars allow us to communicate with dogs in a way that they understand. They are great for communication and use the least amount of pressure than other training tools. When used properly prong collars have been proven to be the most humane, least physically taxing tools, and helps correct and manage unwanted behavior instead of just masking or managing unwanted behaviors.
WHY DO YOU USE E-COLLARS?
The same reason we use prongs. E-collars are great for perfecting obedience or behavior off leash. They can be used when the dog is nowhere near its owner or for perfecting and proofing commands.
IS THERE A GUARANTEE I WILL GET THE RESULTS I WANT?
Dog training is a team effort. Dedicated owners who are consistent see amazing transformations no matter how severe the issues may be. Your success is our top priority once you hire us. Your dog can't achieve their full potential without you. There will be homework. It would be unethical for us to offer a 100% guarantee due to many variables involved in creating a well behaved and balanced dog.

We do not have a physical location. We mostly serve the Allen County area, but we also serve Auburn, Churubusco, Columbia City, Fort Wayne, Huntertown, Huntington, Leo-cedarville, New Haven, Ossian, Roanoke, and Bluffton
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY?
A 25% nonrefundable deposit is REQUIRED to hold your spot. This will come off your total. The rest of the payment is required at the first lesson or class. If you need to cancel, you can reschedule twice before you will be required to put an extra 25% deposit down. No refunds will be given.
