Individual Lessons: $40 - $100

Lessons last 60 minutes in your home, at a park, or at a pet friendly store. Exact quote depends on location and the type of training needed. Individual lessons are not offered unless you are a returning client or a very specific case. 

 

Lesson Programs
We offer a variety of private lesson programs that are fully customized to you and your dog. During the phone consultation, we will gather information that will let us know which program is best for your training goals, and we will fully customize a training plan for you and your dog. These lessons are one on one where I will teach you everything you need to know to handle, train, and manage your dog. Private lesson programs are perfect for puppies and dogs of all breeds, age, size, and training issue. We specialize in puppy training, obedience and manners, behavior modification such as aggression or reactivity, and service dogs.

All private lesson programs come with midweek check ins for extra support help, lifetime phone support once formal training is complete, access to a private Facebook group with other GK9A clients, necessary equipment, free virtual lessons, free access to webinars, and access to GK9A pack walks and other events. 

New Best Friend Program: For people who are looking for a puppy or dog from a breeder or rescue. This program is to help you find a rescue or breeder and match you to a dog based on your family. Includes breed selection help, breeder or rescue selection help, temperament testing for dog or puppy, getting the dog or puppy settled, and training help. Includes 8 private lessons.
Investment: $1875

Puppy Program (for puppies under 5 months/20 weeks)

Duration: 1 lesson once a week for 8 weeks

​This program is specifically designed for puppies under 5 months or 20 weeks of age. Gives your puppy a solid foundation ,and helps them grow into a confident, well rounded dog. 

What you'll get:

• Includes eight - one hour customized private lessons that can take place in home, at a pet friendly park, or in a pet friendly store. 

• Help with housebreaking, play biting/nipping, crate training, and socializing

• Puppy basics 

• Puppy life skills for a healthier coexistence in the home

• Basic commands and manners

Investment: $430 - $800 
 

Basic Program

Duration: 1 lesson once a week for 8 weeks

Our more basic program that teaches dogs to listen to commands, walk calmly on a leash, and stay under control around everyday distractions in the home.

What you'll get:

• Includes eight - one hour customized private lessons that can take place in home, at a pet friendly park, or in a pet friendly store. 

• Loose leash walking

• Reliable obedience at home

• Calm behavior around people and distractions

• A dog that listens

• Covers minor issues such as being stubborn or not listening

Commands Included: ​Heel, Break, Sit, Down, Stay, Crate/Door/Greeting Manners, Come, Place

Investment: $430 - $800

Basic Plus Program

Duration: 1 lessons once a week for 10 weeks

Teaches dogs to follow commands, walk calmly on leash, and stay under control in and out of the home. 

What you'll get: 

• Includes ten - one hour customized private lessons that can take place in home, at a pet friendly park, or in a pet friendly store. 

• Loose leash walking

• Reliable obedience in and out of the house 

• Calm behavior around people and distractions 

• A dog that listens

• Covers minor issues like jumping, playbiting, door dashing, and turning excitement into calmness

Commands Included: Heel, Break, Sit, Down, Stay, Crate/Door/Greeting Manners, Come, Place, Leave It

Investment: $550 - $1250

Advanced Program

Duration: 1 lesson once a week for 12 weeks

Our more advanced program designed for owners who are wanting their dog to learn to behave inside and outside the home so they are confident taking them on pet friendly adventure to parks and stores. Allows time to address problematic but not dangerous behavior. 

What you'll get: 

• Includes twelve - one
   hour customized private lessons that can take place in home, at a pet friendly park, or in a pet friendly store. 

• Loose leash walking

• Reliable obedience at home and in public 

• Increased confidence and calm in new and stressful situations

• Improved focus and responsiveness around distractions 

• Covers problematic issues like over-excitement, pushy or demand behavior, or barking

Commands Included: Heel, Break, Sit, Down, Stay, Crate/Door/Greeting Manners, Come, Place, Leave It, Distance Down, Out, Watch Me, Up/Off, Public Manners

Investment: $670 - $1450

 

Advanced Plus Program

Duration: 1 lesson once a week for 14 weeks 

For owners who are wanting their dog to listen to basic and advanced obedience commands and manners in the house, out of the house, and in public. This program allows time to address minor behavioral issues. 

What you'll get:

• Includes fourteen 
  - one hour customized private lessons that can take place in home, at a pet friendly park, or in a pet friendly store. 

• Loose leash walking 

• Reliable obedience at home and in public

• Increased confidence and calm in new and stressful situations 

• Improved focus and responsiveness around distractions 

• Covers behavioral issues such as fearfulness, grooming anxiety, counter surfing, crate anxiety, general anxiety, or refusing to come when called

Commands Included: Heel, Break, Sit, Down, Stay, Crate/Door/Greeting Manners, Come, Place, Leave It, Distance Down, Out, Watch Me, Up/Off, Public Manners

Investment: $790 - $1650

Behavior Modification Program

Duration: 1 lesson onces a week for 18 weeks

For dogs that require a higher level of behavior modification, management, and structure. We get to the root cause of the behavior instead of just addressing the symptoms. This program is for dogs who display any reactivity, aggression, separation anxiety, extreme fear or anxiety, and resource guarding. 

What you'll get:

• Includes eighteen - one hour customized private lessons that can take place in home, at a pet friendly park, or in a pet friendly store. 

• Significant reduction in reactive, aggressive, fearful, or anxiety based behaviors

• Lasting confidence in situations that use to trigger reactivity, fear, anxiety, or aggression 

• Safe controlled management around known triggers

• Confidence of being able to handle and manage your dog

Commands Included: ​Heel, Break, Sit, Down, Stay, Crate/Door/Greeting Manners, Come, Place, Leave It, Distance Down, Out, Watch Me, Up/Off, Send to Place, Public Manners if needed, Muzzle Training if needed
