Evaluations and consults are for people who are wanting more information, wanting to meet the trainer, or if the trainer has questions about the dog that can only be answered by meeting the dog.

Phone Consultations: FREE - Phone consultations are required before you can sign up for any of our programs. Please text us to schedule or leave a voicemail.
In Home Evaluations: FREE - You must be within 15 miles of Decatur, Indiana to be eligible for this or willing to come to Decatur, Indiana

Private Lessons/Private Lesson Programs
Individual Private Obedience Lessons: $40 - $80
Individual Private Behavior Modification Lessons: $60 - $100
Lessons last 60 minutes in your home, at a park, or at a pet friendly store. Pricing depends on location and the type of training needed.
Lesson Programs
We offer a variety of private lesson programs that are fully customized to you and your dog. During the phone consultation, we will gather information that will let us know which program is best for your training goals, and we will fully customize a training plan for you and your dog. These lessons are one on one where I will teach you everything you need to know to handle, train, and manage your dog. These private lesson programs are perfect for puppies and dogs of all breeds, age, size, and training issue. We specialize in puppy training, on and off leash obedience and manners, behavior modification such as aggression or reactivity, and service dogs.

All private lesson programs come with midweek check ins for extra support help, lifetime phone support once formal training is complete, access to a private Facebook group with other GK9A clients, necessary equipment, free virtual lessons, free access to webinars, and access to GK9A pack walks and other events.
New Best Friend Program: For people who are looking for a puppy or dog from a breeder or rescue. This program is to help you find a rescue or breeder and match you to a dog based on your family. Includes breed selection help, breeder or rescue selection help, temperament testing for dog or puppy, getting the dog or puppy settled, and training help. Includes 8 private lessons.

10 Lesson Program: Includes ten - one hour customized private lessons that can take place in home, at a pet friendly park, or in a pet friendly store.

12 Lesson Program: Includes twelve - one hour customized private lessons that can take place in home, at a pet friendly park, or in a pet friendly store.
Investment: $760 - $1240
14 Lesson Program: Includes fourteen - one hour customized private lessons that can take place in home, at a pet friendly park, or in a pet friendly store.
Investment: $840 - $1400
Behavior Modification Program: Includes eighteen - one hour customized private lessons that can take place in home, at a pet friendly park, or in a pet friendly store.
Investment: $1380 - $2100

Board and Train
Board and trains are a service where the dog lives with the trainer for the duration of the program. Your dog stays on our property, in our home, and we only accept one dog at a time. We are not a large kennel facility. You will see faster results because your dog is learning directly from a canine professional, and is receiving several hours of hands on training each day.
To Qualify for a Board and Train: Dogs must be at least 4 months old, crate and housebroken (unless they are a puppy), up to date on Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, and Bordetella given by a licensed veterinarian. They also must be on some sort of pharmaceutical flea, tick, and dewormer. They must have a fecal done within two weeks of the start date for training. Dogs must be in good health and pass our health clearances. Dogs may be required to see the vet to ensure they are in good health before training.

What Board and Train Programs Include: 3-4 training sessions per day personalized to your dogs exact needs, necessary equipment, daily exercise, individualized play with handler, daily feeding, medication administration, weekly outings or field trips to public spaces, daily updates including texts/photos/videos (or a phone call if preferred), weekly grooming, one private lesson at the end of every week during the board and train, weekly training video, weekly report card, a thorough go home session to teach you how to train and handle your dog with all of their new skills after the program, three one hour private sessions to upkeep training when your dog arrives home, a lifetime of support, free virtual lessons, free access to webinars, access to a private Facebook group with other GK9A clients, and access to GK9A pack walks and other events.

GK9A is secured by video monitoring and a security system. We also have fire and carbon monoxide detectors.

Our general Board and Train Admission is $600/week. This price is scenario dependent. Please reach out for a price customized to your pup's needs. We specialize in puppies, on and off leash obedience and manners, behavior modification include aggression and reactivity, and service dogs. ​​

Service Dog Training
Gillian's K9 Academy LLC specializes in training service dogs for mental illnesses and disorders such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, and autism. We also train dogs for mobility issues, and other conditions like POTS, ehlers-danlos syndrome, and dysautonomia. A training log to prove hours of training will be provided.
Service dogs are dogs that are tasked trained to assist an individual with a disability. Emotional Support animals are not service animals.
Dogs must be temperament tested and evaluated by me before training for service work can begin(UNLESS you are a virtual client).

Temperament Testing
Are you thinking about adopting or getting a dog but want to know the dogs temperament? Do you have children or other animals and want to ensure their safety?
Are you getting a puppy for sport work or service work and need to know which pup is the best fit?
Look no further. We offer temperament testing!
Litter, Single Puppy and Adult Dog Temperament Testing: $50-$100 per hour + traveling fees for any location over 40 miles from Decatur, Indiana($15 per 30 miles)

Title Testing​
I offer Canine Good Citizen, Canine Good Citizen Advanced, and Canine Good Citizen Urban, Trick Dog, and Virtual Home Manners testing.
Testing for the Canine Good Citizen, Canine Good Citizen Advanced, and Canine Good Citizen Urban is $20.

Virtual Training
Virtual Consult: FREE - This is for new virtual clients only. New virtual clients MUST book a consult before being able to book any packages or individual virtual lessons. Virtual lessons take place via Zoom, Google Meet, or Facebook.
Virtual Lessons via Zoom or Facebook: $30 per lesson
Train from the comfort of your home. Convenient, accessible, and just as effective as in person training.
Details: Sessions are one hour. We can discuss anything besides sport dog training. We will make a training plan and I will assign homework. You will send me videos of your progress between sessions. Frequency of lessons is flexible, but most people do every 1-2 weeks. Lessons must be paid before the lesson begins. You will get access to a Facebook support group where there will be training tips, videos, resources, and fun training challenges.
